More EFL/ESL games: Fish-Silver

Another game.



Rules

1 students form a circle and take turns to count.

2 Instead of saying "five" you say "fish" e.g. 1,2,3,4,fish,6

3 Instead of saying "seven", you say "silver".

4 For larger numbers you mix the number and the word e.g. 15 is "one fish", 45, "four fish", 27, "two silver", 57, "fish silver" etc.

5 Any mistake or hesitation means that you're out and the next person starts once again from one.

6 Continue this until there is only one person.

This is a wonderful end of lesson filler or a way of getting students' minds off exams while they're waiting to go into the exam room

EFL/ESL games

A variation of blind man's bluff for students learning English. The students have to be guided by team members in order to reach the front of the class.There are three rules;

1 - English only, otherwise your team has to stop for 10 seconds.

2 - Only the blindfolded person can move.

3- If you touch any obstacle, you have to wait for 10 seconds.

If the class is very noisy and the blindfolded person can't hear instructions from their team mates then do it as a timed challenge and the best time wins.

EFL/ESL games

You divide the class into teams. One person from each team has to look at some design you've drawn and tell the others how to reproduce it. There are only two rules;

1) Only English - otherwise you have to stop for 20 seconds.

2)The person describing has to put their hands behind their back.

The first team to draw the design correctly wins. You can also do this using lego bricks.
