Man in trouble

Man in trouble, originally uploaded by Teacher Dude's BBQ.

I was walking up Union St when I saw this guy passed out on the pavement outside the travel agent's. Most people seemed happy just to negotiate their way around him and so I went over and asked if I could help. He was blindly trying to re-insert a catheter so I thought that maybe he was sick. I called for an ambulance and stayed until there was nothing else I could do.

The irony of the situation was that I had been discussing a similar situation with abusker whose picture I wanted to take just minutes before this.

old school

Taken while wandering down Corn St, just outside the Registrar's office where civil weddings take palce. I saw this guy taking pictures of the bride and groom as they waited their turn to get married.

Hen party

Hen party, originally uploaded by Teacher Dude's BBQ.

Me and Lydia decided to go to the centre as a way of getting out of the house. Whilst in the harbour we can across a French marching band playing as they made their way to a somewhere. Moments later this hen party burst out of a bar nearby and started dancing.

Intense argument over our sacred right to park

These two guys were arguing with each other in Aristotelous Square. I'm not sure how it started but somehow they managed to keep on shouting at each other, walking off then return for a new bout repeatedly while I was there.

Amusing, I suppose, if you're into boneheaded machismo in 40C heat.

Shopkeeper

Shopkeeper, originally uploaded by Teacher Dude's BBQ.

I was taking pictures in the centre in an abandoned building near this guy's shop. He popped out of his place and politely asked me what I was doing and after I had explained I asked if I could take his picture.

Driving to India

Driving to India, originally uploaded by Teacher Dude's BBQ.

I meet this guy in Aristotelous. I first noticed him because he had a huge Nikon D5 hung around his neck and then later on I bumped into him as he got into his 4x4 with a sign on it saying "By road to the Himalayas" in Dutch. So I stopped and asked him about his journey. he told me he was a journalist and that he was off to Turkey, then Iran and finally India.
